SMaths Challenge 2017

Event Description

SMaths Challenge will be held at HELP International School this 20th May. This Mathematics competition is based on world-renowned Singapore Mathematics Curriculum which has become increasingly popular with its approach that involves Critical Thinking, Logical Reasoning, Problem Solving, and Modelling Techniques, amongst others.

SMaths Challenge not only allows participants to pit their mathematical skills against one another, but also to showcase their creativity in solving mathematical problems. It is bound to provide a fun and engaging opportunity for all.

Parents of participants are invited to complimentary talks by

• Ms Liu Yueh Mei, an International Singapore Maths trainer from Singapore, former Singapore MOE Curriculum Planner and Developer, author of “Mathematical Problem Solving – The Bar Model Method” with Scholastic International
• Dr Goh Chee Leong, CEO of HELP International School, VP of HELP University and President of Malaysian Psychological Association. Dr Goh will share the popular “How to help your child succeed academically” seminar, which has been attended by over 10,000 students.
