Event Description

As we kick off June this weekend we will be doing our fun STEM Straw Rocket Challenge! Children will create their own Rockets and propel them across the studio to see which one goes furthest!

Using fun, hands-on space art resources these space-themed craft activities are sure to help your children with their art skills, as well as being a useful educational tool on the subject of space and astronomy.

There are a number of different benefits of art and craft activities for kids. These include:
✔️ Improving coordination and motor skills. Arts and crafts are great for helping kids with using their hands through precise, hands-on work. This is beneficial in a range of different topics, as well as being really helpful for handwriting.
✔️ It helps students express themselves and develop their creativity, which can be applied to plenty of subjects, both in and out of school.
✔️ When working in groups, art and craft activities can also help children socialise and work together.
✔️ Teamwork in putting together a craft or piece of art is a great way to develop these skills.
✔️ It’s fun! Children have always enjoyed artistic and crafty activities in school, and it can provide a welcome break from the usual book learning. This can help children focus better in their other lessons, too.
