The programmes offer a curriculum that is broad, balanced and connected to significant child development theories and philosophies of famous educationists: Maria Montessori (living skills), Erik Erikson (psychosocial development), Lev Vygotsky (language and social skills), Confucius (moral and spiritual values), Reggio Emilia (creative learning), Jean Piaget (mental development [cognitive and critical thinking]), Shinichi Suzuki (music learning and appreciation), and Friedrich Froebel (natural environment). This all-rounded framework delivers practices that ultimately aim to educate the whole child – intellectually, cognitively, socially, emotionally and physically.   

• Thematic Integrated Learning Approach

Teachers introduce different learning concepts, from language to mathematics and science to music, to children based on common themes. When children get to revisit the same ideas and apply them in multiple ways, such as role playing, reading and storytelling, they establish a much deeper understanding of the concept, hence develop the ability to retain information for life.    

• Discovery Learning

The school provides a world for children to observe learning opportunities through experimentation and discovery of facts on their own. Teachers do not encourage children to memorize or recite texts. Rather, they recognise the importance for children to shape new understandings by manipulating materials, discovering through hands-on activities, experimenting during interactive play and retaining that innate curiosity by examining the world around them. Children are also exposed to a mixed age group setting where little ones can interact with their older counterparts. While it encourages children to build stronger bonds with others, it also teaches children peer-to-peer interactions and how to resolve conflicts to be able to work together.   

• Compulsory Piano Learning

The core curriculum is designed to incorporate piano as part of children’s early life. Brief daily practice exposes children to the multifaceted benefits of learning the piano including neurological growth, hand and eye coordination, heightened senses, mathematical reasoning, focus and concentration.  

• Cambridge English

The school offers a rich language environment for children to improve and master their English skills through an additional Cambridge English Starters programme. Course materials consist of engaging texts and captivating activities to help children strengthen all aspects of the language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
