Blood Donors Needed – You Can Save Lives

NEED FOR MORE BLOOD DONORS IN THE MIDST OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC

With the surge in Covid-19 numbers, it raises concerns of acquiring consistent and sufficient blood supply to cater for medical treatment, surgical procedures and inevitable emergencies at the hospitals. KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital is supporting Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang in its drive to gather as much life-streaming blood supply. Therefore KPJ Klang encourages our dear communities to practice compassion and generosity to help drive this blood donation initiative by donating blood. Perhaps inform your loved ones and friends whom you feel can also boost adequate blood collection for our community. The blood donation process commonly takes only a short few minutes.

The Blood Donation Event will commence as follows:

Venue: KPJ Klang Specialist Hospital, No. 102, Persiaran Rajawali/KU 1, Bandar Baru Klang, 41150, Selangor Darul Ehsan

Date: 17 & 18 September 2021 (Friday & Saturday)

Time: (Friday) 10:00am – 4:30pm &

          (Saturday) 9:30am – 1:30pm

Here are guidelines to help blood donors in their preparation:

1. Individuals who have undergone Covid-19 vaccination may donate blood after 7 days. Previous Covid-19 patients may contribute blood 28 days after medical discharge. Quarantined candidates from Covid-19 close contact may participate in giving blood after the completion of 14th day. However, terms and conditions apply based on individuals’ overall health.
