On 19 November, we will have an LIS School Information Session, for potential 2017 parents and students, from 10am to 12pm at LIS Auditorium. Our School Principal, Puan Zainab Batin, will be discussing two curricula offered at LIS: The Malaysian National Curriculum and The Cambridge International Curriculum. The talk will also include what it is like to be a part of this school’s community. This session will be followed by a school tour. During the tour, students can join in on some of the fun class activities in the subjects of Dance, Music, Art and ICT. We will be offering a 50% discount on the entry examination for the 2017 Intake – so don’t miss out on enrolling your child at LIS on the 19 November!
Meanwhile, an
Education Fair and Career Talks will be held throughout the same day from
10am to 4pm at LIS Auditorium. Personality Tests and free consultations will be provided by participating universities.
The following Career Talks will begin from 1pm.
· “Your Personality and Career Choice – Is There a Match?” by professional motivational speaker and NLP Trainer, Dr Sia Ah Hiok from Taylor’s University.
· “How to be Cool” by Curtin University.
· “How to manage exam anxiety” by Kiara College.
· Introduction of Programmes and performances by City College Labuan and University College Foundation Sabah

On 20 November, Malaysian professional track cyclist and 2016 Olympic Bronze Medallist, Azizulhasni Awang, will be at LIS to share his experience entitled: “Power of Visualisation and Reaching Success with Azizulhasni Awang!” This talk will be followed by an opportunity to cycle around Labuan with the Pocket Rocketman, Azizulhasni Awang! Flag off time for the ride will be at 3pm. There is a RM50 fee to register for this Motivational Talk and Ride with Azizulhasni. The fee also includes a promotional T-shirt and a limited-edition finishing medal! The programme will start at 1pm and end at 5pm. The First Labuan International Swimming Championship 2016 will be held at the TSI Swimming Pool (Labuan International School) on 19 and 20 November. We have approximately 300 swimmers from the Borneo region participating in this championship. Feel free to come along and watch this inaugural event while participating in the other programmes that are on at LIS!
Finally, for book lovers, there will be a Mini Book Exhibition by Karyaseni on 19 and 20 November at the back of the LIS Auditorium from 9am to 5pm!
